How does LegacyReady's ancestry search work?
Signed-in members can search Library of Congress newspapers, photographs, maps, manuscripts, books, audio, and film by name, place, and years, then save promising items with citations to their research. A guided BLM land-record worksheet helps you look for an ancestor's land patents. A matching name, date, or place is a research lead, not proof, so compare it with other records before adding it to your family record.
Is a deeper ancestry search coming?
Yes. A deeper, member-authorized ancestry search is in testing and is not active today. When it becomes available, its information will appear only in the Family History Center, only to the signed-in member who authorized it. It will never be sold, offered as a searchable or paid database, or shared with Family Readiness tools.
What else can I do in the Family History Center today?
Alongside ancestry search, signed-in members can save relatives and relationships, build a legacy timeline, keep research sources and citations, write family stories, and track open questions. A migration map is coming soon and is not active yet.
How do I organize my final wishes?
